When you purchase a personalized reading or service

Payment-card details are processed by the payment provider and are not directly visible to or stored by PeriPowerful.

3. Why I process your data

I process personal data for the following purposes:

  • To process and administer purchases

  • To create and deliver personalized astrology and midlife readings

  • To communicate about an order or request missing information

  • To provide coaching, digital resources or other services you request

  • To respond to inquiries

  • To maintain necessary business, bookkeeping and tax records

  • To operate, secure and improve the website

  • To send marketing emails where you have subscribed or otherwise given permission

  • To establish, exercise or defend legal claims where necessary

Performance of a contract

When you purchase a reading, coaching service or other product, I process the information needed to fulfil your order and deliver the agreed service.

Consent

I rely on your consent where required, including for:

  • Non-essential cookies

  • Voluntarily provided sensitive personal information, where applicable

You may withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing that took place before consent was withdrawn.

Legal obligation

Certain information must be retained to comply with Dutch bookkeeping, tax, fraud-prevention or other legal requirements.

Legitimate interests

I may process limited personal data where necessary to operate and secure my business, respond to communications, prevent misuse and improve website functionality, provided those interests do not override your privacy rights.

5. Birth details and personalized readings

To prepare a personalized astrology reading, I require information such as your date, time and place of birth.

This information is used only to:

  • Calculate and interpret your personal chart or blueprint

  • Research and write the reading you purchased

  • Answer the questions you submitted

  • Communicate with you if clarification is required

  • Deliver the final report

The reading is manually researched, interpreted and prepared. Your information is not used to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

Please ensure that the details you provide are accurate. Where your birth time is approximate or unknown, this may affect the interpretation.

6. Health and other sensitive information

You may choose to mention perimenopause symptoms, physical or emotional wellbeing, relationships, spiritual beliefs or other personal matters when asking questions for a reading or coaching service.

Some of this information may qualify as special-category personal data, particularly information relating to physical or mental health. Such data receives additional protection under the GDPR.

Please provide only information that is relevant and necessary for the service. Do not submit medical records, identification documents or extensive medical history unless specifically requested and an appropriate secure method has been agreed.

Where you voluntarily provide sensitive personal data, it will be used only for the purpose for which you submitted it and, where required, on the basis of your explicit consent.

PeriPowerful readings and coaching are not medical diagnosis or treatment and do not replace professional medical, psychological, legal or financial advice.

7. Marketing communications

I will only send promotional emails where there is an appropriate legal basis, such as your consent.

You can unsubscribe at any time by:

  • Clicking the unsubscribe link in an email, or

  • Contacting hello@peripowerful.com

Transactional communications relating to an order or active service are not marketing communications and may still be sent where necessary to fulfill the contract.

Purchasing a reading does not automatically subscribe you to marketing unless you separately choose to subscribe.

8. Who receives your personal data?

I do not sell your personal data.

I may share limited personal data with service providers that help me operate the business, including:

  • Squarespace, for website hosting, forms, e-commerce, order management and customer notifications

  • Stripe, for payment processing

  • Google Workspace or Gmail, for business email, document storage and delivery of reports

  • Squarespace Email Campaigns or another email provider, where you subscribe to marketing

  • Analytics, security, cookie-consent or website-support providers that are enabled on the site

  • Professional advisers, accountants or legal advisers where necessary

  • Government authorities where disclosure is legally required

These providers process data according to their own privacy terms and, where applicable, contractual data-protection arrangements.

9. International data transfers

Some service providers, including Squarespace, Stripe or Google, may process personal data outside the European Economic Area.

Where personal data is transferred internationally, I use service providers that rely on lawful transfer mechanisms where required, such as:

  • An adequacy decision

  • Standard Contractual Clauses

  • Another safeguard recognized under the GDPR

10. How long I keep your data

I keep personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including legal, accounting and dispute-resolution requirements.

The following periods are intended to apply:

  • Order, invoice and payment records: retained for the period required under Dutch tax and bookkeeping law

  • Birth details, personal questions and working notes: normally deleted within 12 months after delivery of the reading, unless you ask me to retain them for future work

  • Completed reports: normally retained for 12 months after delivery as a temporary backup

  • General inquiries: normally retained for up to 12 months

  • Marketing subscription data: retained until you unsubscribe or the mailing list is discontinued

  • Cookie and analytics data: retained according to the settings of the relevant provider and your cookie choices

  • Emails and correspondence: service-related emails containing personal information or report attachments are normally reviewed and deleted within 12 months after delivery, unless longer retention is necessary for legal, accounting, or dispute-resolution purposes.

Where information is needed for a legal claim, fraud investigation, legal obligation, or dispute, it may be retained for longer.

11. Security

I take reasonable organizational and technical measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure or alteration.

These measures may include:

  • Password-protected business accounts

  • Two-factor authentication where available

  • Restricted access to customer information

  • Secure payment processing through Stripe

  • HTTPS encryption on the Squarespace website

  • Keeping software and connected services appropriately secured

  • Deleting personal information when it is no longer needed

No internet or email transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

12. Your GDPR rights

Subject to applicable conditions, you may have the right to:

  • Ask whether I process your personal data

  • Access the personal data held about you

  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information

  • Request deletion of your personal data

  • Request restriction of processing

  • Object to certain processing

  • Receive certain data in a portable format

The GDPR gives individuals rights to information, access, correction, deletion and other forms of control over their data.
